Senior DevOps Engineer (AWS Azure Python Automation) London / WFH to £90k+

Are you a technologist DevOps Engineer with a software engineering background?

You could be progressing your career in a hands-on Senior DevOps Engineer at a hugely successful Hedge Fund, working on complex and interesting systems with continual learning opportunities.

As a Senior DevOps Engineer you will join a small team (approximately 6-8) and will help to lead the adoption and implementation of Automation within the IT infrastructure, covering both Cloud (AWS and Azure) as well as on premise. You will liaise with senior business stakeholders to bring new ideas and recommendations; you'll have the freedom to explore and implement new languages, development standards and methodologies.

You'll develop scripts for automation of monitoring, ITSM, capacity planning tools and APIs using Python to code, plan and execute automated High Availability (HA) and Disaster Recovery (DR) tests and create and maintain CI/CD pipelines.

Location:

You'll join colleagues in impressive Central London offices with flexibility to work from home one day a week.

About you:

• You have strong hands-on experience in AWS Cloud operations, Infrastructure Management and Automation (Azure experience would also be great but not necessary)
• You have a track record of delivering scalable and reliable cloud based solutions
• You have a software engineering background and Python coding skills
• You have a good knowledge of IaC with Amazon CDK or Terraform
• You have project planning and skills and are able to prioritise tasks and manage workloads
• You have strong troubleshooting skills
• You're collaborative and pragmatic with stakeholder management experience
• You have experience within a similar finance / trading environment
• You're degree educated - Computer Science or Engineering preferred
