Head of Software Architecture London / WFH to £150k

Do you have a strong technical knowledge of modern Cloud based microservices architectures combined with leadership and people management skills?

You could be progressing your career in senior, management level role at one of the country's leading PropTech sites that have revolutionised the way we find property for rent and sale with millions of users per day.

As Head of Software Architecture you will provide line management to a team of six architects and drive collaboration and consistency across various engineering teams. You'll focus on technical strategy and people management, leading the integration and evolution of a broad range of systems from bleeding edge in-house software to 3^rd party solutions within a modern containerised, microservices architecture.

Partnering with senior leadership across technology and product development you will influence strategic decision making and ensure that architectural strategies are integrated with business objectives and that they support the company's wider business goals, are scalable and can adapt to market conditions.

You'll collaborate with software engineering teams and communicate a clear vision, upholding engineering excellence.

Location / WFH:

You'll join colleagues in the Central London office for two days a week with flexibility to work from home the other three days.

About you:

• You have advanced experienced with Software Architecture with a strong understanding of modern architecture principles including containerisation and microservices
• You have excellent communication, collaboration and leadership skills, with experience of managing architects in modern technology environments
• You can think strategically and align technology and business requirements
• You have experience with in-house technology and managing 3^rd party vendors
• You can foster a diverse, open culture and develop others
• You are likely to be degree educated in Computer Science or similar discipline (not essential if you have the right experience)
